Cameron Stephens Equity Capital is looking for a Project Accountant
We are always looking for the best and brightest to join our exciting new business, Cameron Stephens Equity Capital. We are actively seeking a Project Accountant to assist with our Project Costing and monitoring functions and be responsible for ensuring that all development cost control functions are accurate, thorough, and completed in a timely manner. This role will also support the underwriting function where the applicant will be provided experience in underwriting potential development opportunities.

Cameron Stephens Equity Capital is a subsidiary entity of Cameron Stephens Mortgage Capital. The mortgage business was founded in 2004 by Scott Cameron and has become one of Canada’s leading and fastest growing private debt providers. With over $2.9B in AUM, the business has grown with offices in Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver. Cameron Stephens Equity Capital was founded in September of 2021, with its primary focus being on forming strategic partnerships with key residential developers in the GTA. To date, Cameron Stephens Equity Capital has partnered on four development projects, with committed equity capital of $49M.

Who are you?
As the Project Accountant, you will be responsible to ensure that all development cost control functions are accurate, thorough, and completed in a timely manner. You will assist with the preparation of performance reports and budgets to ensure that all costs are properly recorded and collected for development projects. In addition to this, you will assist with the accounting for the corporate level entities which will also include monthly reporting.
