Vice President, Origination Western Canada
Gabe Chung is Vice President, Origination – Western Canada, and will be based out of our Vancouver office. In this role, he will be responsible for originating new loan opportunities across various asset classes and building strong client relationships to further enhance the Cameron Stephens brand in Western Canada. His areas of expertise include multi-family construction, bridge financing, and CMHC debt.
Gabe brings over 25 years of commercial real estate lending experience to the team. Prior to joining us, he had a successful nine-year tenure at National Bank of Canada, where he most recently served as Managing Director. During his time there, he launched the bank’s real estate centre in Vancouver, originated multi-billions in debt, and played a key role in mentoring and developing talent across the country. Before that, Gabe spent 13 years with Royal Bank of Canada in various real estate and commercial banking roles. He has been recognized multiple times throughout his career for his exemplary work and achieved distinctive professional awards.
Gabe holds a Master of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business and a Bachelor of General Studies from Simon Fraser University. Gabe is licensed as a Submortgage Broker in B.C.
