Steve Cameron is the President & Chief Executive Officer of Cameron Stephens Mortgage Capital (CSMC), where he leads the strategic direction, operational execution, and national growth of one of Canada’s top private commercial real estate investment platforms. Known for his decisive leadership and entrepreneurial mindset, Steve has been central to expanding CSMC’s footprint, deepening its relationships with developers and investors, and strengthening the firm’s reputation for excellence.
Since assuming strategic leadership in 2020, Steve has guided CSMC’s assets under management from approximately $1.5 billion to just under $3.6 billion in 2026, reflecting significant growth in scale, sophistication, and market influence. Throughout this period, he has steered the platform through shifting market cycles with a disciplined, client-first approach while building high-performing teams and a culture grounded in authenticity, urgency, curiosity, and accountability.
As both President and CEO , Steve oversees the full operational cadence of the business, including strategy, capital markets, people and culture, technology transformation, and cross-functional alignment.
Outside the office, Steve is committed to developing the next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders. A long-standing champion of philanthropy, he co-founded the Friends for Life Committee and continues to support SickKids, Cystic Fibrosis Canada, Mount Sinai, Toronto General Hospital, The Gateway Shelter, Yonge Street Mission, and other community organizations.
Steve is licensed as a Principal Broker in Ontario, a Submortgage Broker in British Columbia, and an Associate Broker in Alberta.
